Vote for the Future

EU Elections are coming up in June 2024. Europe has the power to change our broken food system. Go vote! #VoteFutureEU

Nature can’t vote, but you can! Find out how to here.

Join us in Brussels on June 1st!

For this year’s European Parliament Elections, we’re uniting voices to prioritise the need for climate action, nature restoration and agricultural transition.

We’ll mobilise voters, from those casting their ballots for the first time to stay-at-home progressives. We are organising a joint demonstration with climate, environment and farming organisations from across the EU. We unite our voices to show that we need both climate action and a fair transition of our agri-food systems – now!

Join us for the demonstration on Saturday, June 1st from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Place de l’Albertine in Brussels. There will be a photo stunt, creative performances, music jams, inspiring speeches and amazing healthy and local food.

Until the elections in June, we will mobilise people across Europe and make sure EU politicians are watching. Check out our communication package with a special info-comic series to raise awareness on how the EU impacts our food and farming.

The info comics cover topics including GMO labeling, agroecological transition, support for small farms and rural communities, pesticide reduction, nature restoration, farmers’ incomes, consumer prices, and transforming food systems for future generations.

Evaluate your MEP!

Interactive Scoreboard by Vote for Nature Alliance

Discover the interactive scoreboard showing the voting performance of national political parties and European Parliamentary Groups.

Developed by the Vote for Nature Alliance including BirdLife Europe, Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe, European Environmental Bureau, Transport & Environment, and WWF European Policy Office, this tool categorizes MEPs from 2019-2024 as Protectors, Procrastinators, or Prehistoric thinkers. It sheds light on who is delaying real action and exacerbating the climate crises. With only a minority of current MEPs actively working as Protectors of our planet and the European Green Deal, this scoreboard is a valuable resource for informed voting!

Where scores your MEP on Food Systems?

Food systems scorecards by the EU Food Policy Coalition

The EU Food Policy Coalition (EU FPC) released a set of scorecards that sheds light on the commitment of Members of the European Parliament (MEP) to sustainable food systems during their mandate from 2019-2024.

By rating the political groups in the EP in five categories, including recognizing and supporting the need for a transition, access to healthy and sustainable diets, social justice for farmers and citizens, nature-friendly farming and shifting towards agroecology, and transitioning towards ethical animal production, the scorecards help voters make an informed decision for their vote on the new parliament.
